Passions and Dreams is an intermediary for the Small Business Administration (SBA) providing entrepreneurs with business loans through various programs:

Pre-Qual Program:

SBA's intent to guarantee the loan. The maximum amount for loans under the program is $250,000; the SBA will guarantee up to 85% for loans up to & including $150,000 and 75% for loans over $150,000.

7a Loan Guaranty:

It provides loans to small businesses unable to secure financing on reasonable terms through normal lending channels. The program operates through private-sector lenders that provide loans which are, in turn, guaranteed by the SBA -- the Agency has no funds for direct lending or grants.

3. SBA Express:

Makes it faster and easier for lenders to provide SBA guaranteed small business loans of $250,000 or less.

Includes fewer SBA forms and procedures.
Offers special lender incentives to provide very small SBA loans, especially revolving lines of credit.
Loans processed centrally with usually instantaneous SBA response.

4. Community Express:

Community Express is a pilot SBA loan program that was developed in collaboration with the National Community Reinvestment Coalition (NCRC) and its member organizations. Under the pilot, which is available to selected lenders, an SBA Express like program will be offered to pre-designated geographic areas serving mostly New Markets small businesses. The program will also include technical and management assistance, which is designed to help increase the loan applicant's chances of success. Similar to SBA Express, but

Focuses primarily on Low and Moderate Income areas and SBA's New Markets
Maximum Loan amount is $250,000
Standard SBA 7(a) guaranty applies (SBA Express guaranty limited to 50%)
Technical assistance arranged/provided by lenders
Loans centrally processed in Sacramento within 36 hours
